Experts and Collaborators Group (ECG)

During the lifetime of the Project the consortium will take advantage of the networks of participating bodies, and will form an Experts and Collaborators Group (ECG) consisting of experts in relevant fields (technical experts, data experts, etc.), as well as consortium-external organisations who are data providers, potential users or decision makers (e.g. public administrations, registries, companies, agencies, research institutions, etc.). These stakeholders will play an advisory role at the whole of the project depending on their field of expertise and will also participate in the evaluation and dissemination activities at the end of the project, using their communication channels for spreading information about the Action’s achievements to broader audiences thus creating an open data ecosystem.

Members of the ECG will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the member’s point of contact.
  • Deliberating actions to be decided at the appointed board of experts, managed by a Director level executive of the member represented.
  • Attend Project meetings, with proposals and comments as per the current agenda.

Additionally to the above the ECG, as its role suggests, will:

  1. Advise on the quality and usability of the provided datasets.
  2. Advise on the added value (political, economical, social, environmental, etc) provided by the use and re-use of the provided datasets.
  3. Assess the added value with regard to decision making (political, economical, social, etc.) in the framework of the project.
  4. Advise on the use of the developed tools and APIs and monitor their impact in real-life scenarios.
  5. Provision, if possible of relevant datasets.
  6. Disseminate the results of the project through their broad communication networks.
